The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations in support of telecommunications construction projects. This role ensures efficient inventory management, material distribution, and coordination with field teams to support fiber, aerial, and underground construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials
- Manage inventory levels for telecom materials such as fiber cable, conduit, handholes, and equipment
- Ensure accurate tracking of materials using inventory management systems
- Coordinate material deliveries and pickups with field crews and project managers
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and yard
- Oversee loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials
- Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies
- Enforce safety policies and OSHA standards within the warehouse
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and accountability
- Work closely with procurement and operations teams to forecast material needs
Qualifications:
- 3 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in telecommunications or construction
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
- Knowledge of telecom materials (fiber, coax, conduit, etc.) preferred
- Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer skills (Excel, etc.)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, outdoor/warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- CDL (Class A or B) is a plus
- Experience supporting fiber optic construction projects
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction environments
Work Environment:
