Entry-Level Fiber Splicer

About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated Entry-Level Fiber Splicer to join our growing telecommunications team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and learning new skills in a fast‑growing industry. No prior fiber splicing experience required training is provided.
Responsibilities
Assist with splicing, terminating, and testing fiber‑optic cables using fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, and related tools.
Support installation of aerial, underground, and inside‑plant fiber.
Help troubleshoot and repair fiber‑optic lines and network issues.
Prepare and organize splice trays, enclosures, patch panels, and cable management.
Follow engineering prints, splice plans, and network diagrams.
Document work performed, including test results, splice records, and site photos.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Participate in on‑call or after‑hours work as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Strong interest in telecom, networking, or technical fieldwork.
Ability to work outdoors, in confined spaces, and at heights.
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with low‑voltage, construction, utilities, or cable installation.
Familiarity with fiber tools such as fusion splicers, OTDRs, or fiber identifiers.
Coursework or exposure to networking or electronics.
