Job Summary
VeriPic develops cloud-based and on-premise software used by Law Enforcement agencies to securely manage digital evidence. We run production workloads in Microsoft Azure Government Cloud, maintain VMware-based internal infrastructure, and operate in a CJIS-certified environment.
We’re hiring an Technical Support / IT Administrator to own our internal IT and cloud operations, support customer deployments, and help keep our public-facing websites running smoothly. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and a direct impact on customers.
What You’ll Do
Infrastructure & Security (Internal IT)
- Administer and maintain internal servers (VMware), storage, backups, and monitoring
- Manage routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls
- Implement and enforce security best practices
- Maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments for internal operations
- Handle endpoint/device management, access control, and internal IT support as needed
Cloud Operations (Microsoft Azure)
- Manage and secure Azure Government subscriptions, networking, and identity/access
- Support cloud operations including monitoring, cost tracking, patching, and backups
- Help design/maintain resilient environments for customer deployments
- Ensure proper logging, auditing, and access governance
Customer Deployment & Support
- Assist with onboarding and deployment for new customer agencies (cloud and on-prem)
- Troubleshoot technical issues with customers and internal teams
- Coordinate with engineering teams (C/C /Go/Python/C#) as needed for escalations
- Document deployment procedures, runbooks, and support workflows
Web Presence
- Maintain and support company websites (web apps and WordPress)
- Handle DNS, SSL certificates, hosting settings, uptime monitoring, and basic updates/plugins
Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience in IT infrastructure / Systems Administration / Technical Support or similar role
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS)
- Experience administering firewalls and security controls
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware), Windows Server administration, and patching processes
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration (intermediate)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort supporting external customers
- Excellent documentation and communication habits
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience supporting CJIS, FedRAMP, HIPAA, or other similarly regulated environments
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, etc.)
- Experience with Active Directory / Azure AD / Entra ID, MFA, conditional access
- Familiarity with SIEM/logging tools and security incident response
- Experience with WordPress administration, hardening, and troubleshooting
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
