As a Sr. IT Systems Engineer, you will take a leading role in maintaining and scaling the critical corporate systems that form the backbone of our company. This role demands deep technical expertise to move beyond administration into complex automation, advanced platform strategy, and the integration of cloud-native solutions. You will be instrumental in building a secure, automated, and highly-performant IT environment, directly enabling our mission to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day.

Minimum Qualifications
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 - $190,000 bonus benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. As a Sr. IT Systems Engineer, you will take a leading role in maintaining and scaling the critical corporate systems that form the backbone of our company. This role demands deep technical expertise to move beyond administration into complex automation, advanced platform strategy, and the integration of cloud-native solutions. You will be instrumental in building a secure, automated, and highly-performant IT environment, directly enabling our mission to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day.
Responsibilities
- Implement scalable, secure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging services like Compute Engine and Vertex AI to support IT and business objectives.
- Contribute to the design and development of a robust automation framework for complex IT processes using tools like Terraform, Okta Workflows, and custom scripts.
- Drive the strategy and implementation for our core SaaS identity and collaboration platforms, including Okta, Google Workspace, and Slack, ensuring they meet enterprise-level security and scalability needs.
- Design and deploy sophisticated SSO integrations and custom application automations for our application portfolio, tackling complex use cases for tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Act as a technical lead and escalation point for IT systems, mentoring junior team members and defining best practices for system administration and automation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in an IT Engineering position. Extensive experience in designing and managing enterprise SaaS platforms, including identity-as-a-service (Okta) and collaboration suites (Google Workspace).
- Significant, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS and their core components (e.g., Compute Engine, GCP IAM).
- Proven expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and tools, specifically Terraform.
- Advanced scripting and software development skills (e.g., Python, Go, APIs) applied to system automation, with a track record of building production-grade workflows.
- Okta Certified Professional.
- Google Workspace certification.
- Experience leveraging Google Vertex AI for internal automation or data-driven IT operations.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and security principles within GCP.
- Experience serving as a technical lead or subject matter expert on complex, cross-functional projects.
