What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Scrum Master | Contract position at VeriiPro?
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives)
- Serve as a servant leader to one or more Scrum teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and Scrum framework
- Work closely with Product Owners to groom and maintain a healthy product backlog
- Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile practices and mindset
- Track team metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) and use data to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to improve overall Agile maturity across the organization
- Ensure teams are working efficiently and aligned with organizational goals and timelines
- Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, and accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 6 years of related experience, with at least 3 years as a Scrum Master
- Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team empowerment
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, etc.) is a plus
