Role Overview:
We are seeking a Welding Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives for both manual and automated welding applications within our manufacturing engineering team.
This role focuses on process optimization, quality assurance, and compliance with AWS, ASME, and other industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience in Manufacturing or Weld Engineering
Automotive domain experience is MANDATORY
Expertise in manual & automatic welding processes (GTAW, LBW, Resistance Welding)
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality control, and process improvement
Familiarity with fixture & tooling design to support production
Ability to interpret engineering schematics and standards compliance
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and engineering work instructions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures.
Support welding design, metallurgy, and testing (destructive & non-destructive).
Ensure safety compliance and industry best practices in welding operations.
Improve robotic welding, arc welding, and metal fabrication processes.
Assist in resolving production challenges and optimizing workflow efficiency.
Provide technical expertise on GD&T, weld symbology, and engineering drawings.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
