Position Summary
The Infrastructure Wastewater Lining Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field operations related to trenchless wastewater lining services. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise in hydroblasting, pressure washing, and wastewater construction methods, as well as high-level operational management. The successful candidate will direct crews, manage subcontractors, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and optimize performance across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for trenchless wastewater lining projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Master OBIC® product applications, hydroblasting and pressure washing techniques, and wastewater rehabilitation methods.
- Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Work directly alongside crews until teams are established with qualified crew leaders who can operate independently.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard field staff while mentoring and building high-performing teams.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedules, and quality standards.
- Conduct training, coaching, and performance reviews to strengthen technical and leadership skills within the workforce.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate projects across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Monitor job sites to maintain OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance while enforcing safety protocols.
- Allocate resources effectively, including labor, subcontractors, equipment, and vehicles.
- Manage procurement, material orders, and inventory levels for wastewater lining projects.
- Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle assignments, maintenance, and utilization.
- Partner with Sales and Estimating teams to provide technical expertise for competitive bids and proposals.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and customer satisfaction.
- Track budgets, costs, and key performance metrics, providing actionable reports to senior leadership.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management within wastewater, trenchless technology, or related construction trades.
- Hands-on technical background in hydroblasting, pressure washing, or wastewater infrastructure construction.
- Experience in subcontractor management, including oversight of performance, contracts, and compliance.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in recruiting, training, and managing crews.
- Solid knowledge of wastewater systems, trenchless rehabilitation, or infrastructure construction preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and operational reporting.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $90.000 – $114,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
