Accounting Manager
We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Accounting Manager to take ownership of our financial operations and help guide the next stage of our growth. This is a key leadership role that works directly with the President/CEO, leading the accounting team and driving financial clarity across the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, including A/P, general ledger, forecasting, and project cost accounting.
- Manage monthly and annual close processes and deliver accurate GAAP financial statements.
- Strengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting systems to improve efficiency.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Partner with auditors and tax professionals to ensure timely filings and compliance.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights to support executive decisions and project performance.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 in a leadership role.
- Experience in engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services is a plus.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and project-based accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, with an eye for process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication ability.
