Junior Interior Designer

Veridian Homes, an innovative company with an emphasis on smart growth and green built practices, is seeking a junior interior designer who is looking to assist in creating a “WOW” customer experience. This is a fast-paced opportunity, and each day is different!  In this role, you must thrive on turning concepts into reality, have proven ability to communicate effectively with challenging customers, and possess a genuine passion for design.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting customers, as needed, with their interior and exterior finish selections and processing the appropriate paperwork.
• Coordinating and communicating selection choices with other internal departments to help keep projects on track.
• Assisting the interior design team with model home selections and paperwork.
• Maintaining and organizing design studio samples and product literature.
• Working with the interior design team to keep selections fresh and current.
• Assisting with planning and staging furnished model homes to showcase design.
• Administrative support, as needed.

Qualified candidates will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in interior design and/or have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in interior design or retail/sales experience related to interior design. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel combined with an above average interest and ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities, proven attention to detail and the ability to multi-task, while meeting deadlines are necessary skills within this role!
