POSITION SUMMARY

Perform and assist with intermediate-level maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of facility systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of building infrastructure including but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems and production support equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, respond to maintenance requests and assist with facility improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine to intermediate maintenance and repair on facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform various preventative maintenance tasks which on building systems and/or facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building infrastructure, machinery and support equipment.
  • Repair structural elements such as doors, walls, floors, ceilings and fixtures.
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to identify and diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Support production operations by maintaining facility utilities and infrastructure.
  • Assist with installation, relocation and/or modification of manufacturing equipment.
  • May perform welding to repair facility equipment, racks, carts, frames and/or structural components.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments.
  • Perform general cleaning of facilities, including internal and external.
  • May monitor and assist vendors and contractors performing maintenance on site.
  • Perform routine tasks such as painting, wall repair, plumbing, and light electrical.
  • Assist with office moves, renovations, stocking supplies and other similar tasks.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand, and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Minimum five (5) years industrial maintenance experience or equivalent of education and experience.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG or stick welding and basic metal fabrication.
  • Technical or trade school experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of standard and intermediate hand tool use.
  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to perform routine to advanced maintenance.

Pay Rate: The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
