Transportation Relations Education & Training Manager - DC


SUMMARY

Manages all educational, training, and outreach initiatives for Transportation Providers and Beneficiaries, and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and evaluating program awareness and training materials. This role also carries fiduciary responsibilities related to provider network management and program oversight.

LOCATION: ON-SITE REQUIRED IN DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Develop and maintain training programs for transportation providers and members.

· Conduct new provider orientation and onboarding training.

· Educate providers on federal, state, contractual and company requirements.

· Train providers on:

- NEMT regulations and compliance requirements

- Member transportation procedures

- HIPAA and confidentiality standards

- Safety and risk management practices

- Claims, billing, and documentation requirements

- Quality assurance standards

- Fraud, waste, and abuse prevention

· Create training manuals, presentations, job aids, videos and online training materials.

· Assess provider competency and training effectiveness.

· Maintain training records and documentation for audit purposes.

· Develop educational materials to help beneficiaries understand available transportation services.

· Conduct outreach programs and informational sessions for members, caregivers, community organizations, healthcare providers, and facilities.

· Education beneficiaries regarding:

- Eligibility requirements

- How to schedule transportation

- Trip policies and procedures

- Member rights and responsibilities

- Complaint and grievance processes

· Make sure educational materials are culturally appropriate and accessible.

· Guarantee all training programs meet CMS, Medicaid, state and contractual requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

· 5 years of supervisory/management experience, as well as vendor/contract management experience.

· Leadership experience in training, education, operations, or program management environments.

· Knowledge of healthcare systems and Medicaid programs, including experience serving low-income populations.

· Experience designing and delivering culturally competent training programs for diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities.

· Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum development methodologies, and learning management systems (LMS).

· Project management experience with the ability to plan, organize, and execute training and operations initiatives.

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Must have strong analytical skills and pay attention to details with the ability. to juggle multiple competing priorities in a demanding environment, with excellent time management skills.

· Self-motivated/self-starter, can take initiative, can work independently without supervision, and can step in to support other department initiatives; Can work well under pressure.

· Demonstrates commitment and accountability and is self-confident in executing responsibilities, excellent corporate work ethics.

· Must be able to provide positive reinforcement to the team and encourage the team in a positive manner in all aspects.

· Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

· High level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Ability to work in an ever-changing environment where priorities change.

· Must be flexible.

· Professional appearance and positive attitude.

· Must have clean driving record.

· Military and/or EMS background is a plus.

· Must pass a credit check.


MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION (PREFERRED)

· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Education, Public Health, Communications, Transportation Management or a related field.

· Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
