About the Role
Veri Once is seeking a part-time International Credential Evaluator to support our U.S. evaluation operations. This role will work closely with our Senior Director of Evaluations to deliver accurate, consistent, and well-documented evaluations of foreign academic credentials.
You’ll be part of a small, focused team building a high-quality evaluation function grounded in evidence, consistency, and clear methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing course-by-course and document-by-document evaluations
- Analyze international academic credentials using established frameworks and reference materials
- Apply consistent evaluation methodologies and clearly document the rationale behind equivalency decisions
- Conduct research on international education systems, grading scales, and institutional recognition
- Identify inconsistencies, anomalies, or potential indicators of fraudulent documentation, and escalate where appropriate
- Maintain detailed records to support transparency, auditability, and defensibility of evaluations
- Collaborate with verification teams to ensure evaluations are based on source-verified documents
- Support communication with institutions or external bodies where additional information or clarification is required
- Work under the supervision of the Senior Director of Evaluations, with all reports subject to review and approval
- Contribute to internal knowledge development, including maintaining reference materials and participating in ongoing training
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (preferred: International Affairs, Education or related major)
- 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred in credential evaluation, or within a university admissions or international admissions office
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to write clear, structured evaluation reports
- Familiarity with international education systems
Preferred
- Experience with course-by-course evaluations
- Exposure to international admissions, compliance, or student visa processes
- Experience working in a structured or standards-driven evaluation environment
