Verhaeghe Law is a general practice law firm primarily focused on family law. We are currently accepting applications for lawyers in the Family Law and Civil Litigation areas. The family law area and civil litigation areas are bursting at the seams, and we would like experienced lawyers that want to grow their practice to join our team.
Job Type: Full time / Permanent / In house
We are seeking the right candidate that has above average client and courtroom skills, as well as a basic understanding of the billing procedures, practices, and policies within a Family Law setting.
Core competencies include knowledge of the law and legal procedures in relation to Family Law, excellent time management skills, ability to work on multiple files simultaneously, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize matters. The right candidate will be able to be respectful towards colleagues, clients, and other professionals, will have knowledge of the necessary legal software, as well video conferencing programs, and other necessary technologies to enhance their work product.

License/Certification/Experience
- Juris Doctor or LLB degree from accredited post-secondary institution
- License to practice Law in Alberta – Lawyer in good standing
- Legal experience of at least two (2) years minimum is an asset
