Product Development - Time Study Analyst

Job Summary

The Product Development Time - Study Analyst conducts time and motion studies to measure work patterns and methods, ensuring accurate measurement of all steps in the furniture production process. This mid-level engineering position focuses on optimizing efficiency within furniture manufacturing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Observe and analyze work procedures to determine time and motion requirements for each stage of furniture production.
  • Analyze data and specifications to establish standard times and production benchmarks.
  • Apply mathematical analysis to identify objective measurements for alternate work methods.
  • Assist in implementing industrial management techniques and principles to recommend cost- and time-saving improvements to processes, staffing, wage rates, and equipment or facility upgrades.
  • Support the execution of custom service requests.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read CAD or other construction drawings.
  • Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate tactfully across all levels of staff.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, manufacturing engineering Technology, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a furniture manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting while working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
