What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician/Mechanic -6:30p - 7a position at Verdesian Life Sciences?
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform welding fabrication including layout and design, and repair of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Must be proficient with MIG, TIG, Stick, cutting torches, grinders, drills, and working with metal, pipe, and flat iron
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery including pumps, gearboxes, augers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, filling machines and sealers
- Assemble, install and/or repair electrical on three phase and single phase circuitry
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Replace or repair defective equipment and parts
- Perform minor building repair and upkeep
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
- Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery
- Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies adequately organized in storage
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Ability to be fit tested and don a mask
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
