We’re looking for Intermediate Solar Installers to join our growing team. This will be on site from Greater Chicagoland - 60 mile radius around Chicago, IL (office). Successful candidates will have the chance to build a lasting career with FCS beyond individual projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively to install and seal roof attachments, racking supports, rooftop electronics, and solar panels.
• Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet manufacturer and project standards.
• Review installation plans with Crew Leads and follow team guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor installation issues.
• Mentor and guide entry-level installers in techniques and safety practices.
• Maintain and clean up job sites, tools, vehicles, and materials.
• Work safely with mechanical and electrical team members while maintaining productivity.
• Follow all OSHA and Fresh Coast Solar safety regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of residential solar or electrical installation experience.
• Familiarity with solar racking, inverters, wiring, and NEC code.
• Ability to read technical drawings and installation manuals.
• Comfortable working at heights on both flat and pitched roofs.
• High school diploma or trade school degree in construction or building sciences.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
