Extrusion Operator ? Compounding

Salary: $22-$28 per hour based on experience

Verde Bioresins, Inc. is seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to support day-to-day operations of our compounding and extrusion lines. This is a hands-on, in-person role focused on operating twin screw extrusion equipment, supporting material trials and
full scale production runs, and ensuring consistent quality, safety, and documentation
standards.
The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, practical troubleshooting skills, and prior experience in plastics extrusion or polymer compounding environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate twin screw extrusion, compounding lines, and auxiliary equipment safely and effectively
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, operation, shutdown, and thorough cleaning of extrusion and compounding lines
• Troubleshoot processing, mechanical, and material-related issues during production
• Make necessary process adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency
• Prepare materials, equipment, and required documentation for daily processing activities
• Conduct and document quality control tests, including melt flow index, bulk density, density, and related measurements
• Accurately document process parameters, quality data, and work performed using approved forms and systems
• Proactively communicate daily project status, process observations, and issues to supervisors and team members
• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment as required
• Report safety concerns, incidents, and equipment issues promptly
• Comply with all applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001:2015, OSHA, and GMP standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of twin screw extrusion operating experience
• Experience with equipment, processes and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of plastics extrusion and plastics principles
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in a production environment
• Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records
• Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing setting
• Forklift operating experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with underwater pelletizers, strand pelletizers and other auxiliary extrusion equipment
• Prior quality control testing experience (melt flow, bulk density, density, etc.)
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified
• Experience working in ISO 9001:2015, OSHA and GMP-regulated manufacturing environments

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and work on the production floor for extended periods
• Ability to lift materials and equipment as required by the role
• Comfortable working around and operating industrial machinery and processing equipment
