We are hiring an Entry-Level Chemical Operator to join our operations team in Palestine, TX. This is a full-time position working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Full on-the-job training is provided.
What you'll do:
- Operate and monitor chemical processes, batch reactors, blend vessels, and storage tanks using both manual and computerized systems
- Perform raw material additions, product transfers, and collect samples for testing
- Load and unload bulk tank trailers and railcars
- Perform packaging tasks including unloading drum trailers, palletizing drums, and handling bags
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Complete required paperwork such as log sheets, round sheets, checklists, and SAP system entries
- Support general housekeeping, janitorial duties, and other labor tasks as needed
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, using proper personal protective equipment at all times
What we're looking for:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- BS or Associate degree in Chemistry, technical certificate, military experience, or prior manufacturing/chemical operations experience is preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks
- Strong foundation in math, problem-solving, and computer skills
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical
