What you will do:- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment by observing operations, identifying root causes, and performing necessary adjustments or part replacements
- Dismantle and reassemble pumps, agitators, valves, and other equipment using hand and power tools
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports in support of the site’s Mechanical Integrity program
- Safely operate tools, mobile equipment, scaffolds, and lifts to perform installations and repairs
- Maintain parts inventory and request supplies as needed
- Support other departments and crafts to ensure efficient task completion
- Perform demolition work on decommissioned equipment as assigned
- Comply with all health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), permits, PPE requirements and support of ACC RCMS standard requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following ISO-9001:2015 standards and Verdant’s quality management procedures
- Participate in site safety meetings and actively promote a culture of safety awareness
- High school diploma or GED required; additional trade or technical training preferred
- 3 years of experience in a multi-craft maintenance role (mechanical, millwright, welding, or simple electrical)
- Ability to install and align pumps, connect basic 3-phase equipment, and perform piping and valve installation
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to determine materials and tools needed for each task
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive, safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work outdoors and in varying conditions for extended periods (up to 70% of the workday)
