Position: SDC Mild/Moderate Teacher
Classroom: Virtual / Online Instruction

Grades: 7th–8th Grade
Setting: Self-Contained SDC, Mild/Moderate
Schedule: Full-Time, School-Year
Rate : $76/hr on W2
VerbaCare is seeking a California credentialed Mild/Moderate SDC Teacher to provide virtual instruction to a self-contained 7th and 8th grade classroom. The teacher will work from the school campus in Antioch while delivering instruction virtually to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual specialized academic instruction aligned with student IEPs.
- Adapt and differentiate middle-school curriculum
- Manage the virtual classroom and maintain student engagement and participation.
- Monitor student progress and collect data on IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff, service providers, and families.
- Support classroom routines, behavior, and individual student needs.
- Maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- California Education Specialist Credential – Mild/Moderate Support Needs, or appropriate eligibility.
- Must be CTC Credentialed SDC Teacher
- Experience with SDC and/or middle-school students preferred.
- Comfortable delivering instruction through a virtual platform.
- Must be able to work on-site at the Antioch school campus.
Pay: $76.00 per hour
