Key Responsibilities
Planning Support
- Assist in preparing planning reports, studies, and documentation
- Support land use, zoning, and development review processes
- Conduct research on planning policies, regulations, and projects
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to planning projects
- Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems
- Prepare summaries, charts, and reports
- Assist in coordinating planning projects and timelines
- Work with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders
- Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met
- Assist in responding to public inquiries and requests
- Support community outreach and engagement efforts
- Help prepare materials for meetings and presentations
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and procedures
- Support preparation of permits and application materials
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of planning or administrative experience
- Basic understanding of zoning, land use, or planning principles
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS or similar)
- Experience working in municipal or government environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
