Job Summary
We are a locally owned mobility and accessibility company serving Eastern North Carolina. We are looking for a sharp, people focused Sales Assistant who wants to learn the business from the inside and grow into an on the road sales role. This position starts in a support role to build product knowledge, process understanding, and confidence before moving into outside sales.
This work requires empathy, problem solving, and the ability to discuss high value projects clearly and professionally. Our customers often need kindness and reassurance, but they also need straight answers and realistic pricing.
Responsibilities (Initial Phase)
- Answer incoming calls and speak with homeowners, caregivers, and referral partners
- Gather project details and help determine next steps
- Schedule in home assessments and site visits
- Prepare, send, and track quotes using Excel and email
- Follow up on open quotes and customer questions
- Maintain organized tracking of leads and active jobs
- Learn product basics including ramps, lifts, and accessibility equipment
- Coordinate with the owner and installation team
Growth Into Outside Sales
- Ride along on site visits and assessments
- Learn how to evaluate homes and access challenges
- Present solutions clearly and confidently in person
- Discuss pricing without discomfort or pressure tactics
- Build relationships with referral partners
- Take on a defined sales territory as experience grows
Requirements
- Outgoing, comfortable talking with people in person and on the phone
- Empathetic but confident discussing real world costs
- Strong problem solving and mechanical curiosity
- Comfortable learning technical products and layouts
- Organized and reliable, with strong follow up skills
- Comfortable using Excel, email, and shared documents
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
