What you will do
- Own control and automation design for industrial water treatment systems in services projects.
- Develop end-to-end control strategies: control narratives, control logic & sequence charts, PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, and operator-focused safety considerations.
- Create and update drawings: electrical layouts, panel designs, single-line diagrams, field wire lists, I/O lists, and network architectures.
- Read and apply engineering documents (P&IDs, GAs, process design guidelines, electrical schematics, I/O and instrument/valve lists, and best-practice guides).
- Interpret contracts and customer specifications; provide comments and alignment for compliance.
- Support EC&I (Electrical Control & Instrumentation) aspects of standard products.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and production facility support.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget; surface and communicate risks and opportunities.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork and participate in client discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline—or equivalent relevant experience performing comparable duties.
- > 4 years of experience designing industrial water treatment systems.
- Understanding of hydraulics, fundamentals of fluid mechanics, and basic water chemistry.
- Customer-centric mindset; balances client needs with internal team priorities.
- Expertise in control systems, PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and programming.
- Experience programing Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Wonderware, Siemens and/ or other common platforms.
- Strong knowledge of equipment and processes related to Veolia WTS Services systems.
- Comfort in industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Ability to travel up to 25% and live near a major airport.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication (coordinating, reporting, documentation, presentations).
- Proven ability to develop and follow procedures/standards and extend new concepts from them.
- Understanding of basic water chemistry.
- Knowledge of Low Voltage Power Distribution System design.
- Knowledge of High/Medium Voltage Power Distribution System design.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000
