Position Summary
The Commercial Lease & Contracts Analyst supports the financial and contractual management of the company’s commercial real estate portfolio. This role focuses on lease analysis, contract review, financial impact assessment, and risk mitigation across new and existing lease agreements. The position partners closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure lease terms align with financial models, approval thresholds, and long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze, review, and support negotiation of commercial leases, amendments, renewals, extensions, and terminations

Evaluate financial impact of lease terms, including rent escalations, CAM charges, percentage rent, TI allowances, and termination clauses

Translate lease provisions into financial models, forecasts, and approval summaries

Track and analyze critical lease dates, obligations, and compliance requirements

Partner with Finance to support budgeting, accruals, audits, and lease-related reporting

Identify financial risk, inconsistencies, or unfavorable lease terms and recommend mitigation strategies
-
Maintain accurate lease data within contract management and lease administration systems

Support due diligence activities for new sites, renewals, and portfolio optimization initiatives

Collaborate with landlords, brokers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to resolve lease-related issues

Assist in developing standardized lease templates, financial review checklists, and contract workflows
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, Economics, or related field (preferred)

3–7 years of experience in commercial leasing, contract analysis, real estate finance, or lease administration

Strong understanding of commercial lease structures and financial components
-
Demonstrated ability to analyze contracts from a financial and risk perspective
-
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with contract or lease management systems

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing requests

Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Real Estate, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract negotiation, preferably involving high-volume commercial or customer-facing agreements.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate, manage objections, and communicate effectively with external partners.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to interpret and analyze lease language; real estate license not required.
