Role: Software Test Analyst 5
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2 days onsite weekly)
Type: W2 Contract (ONLY FOR US CITIZEN AND GREEN CARD HOLDERS)
Local Candidates Only: Must live within 90 minutes of Lansing, MI
Interview: Onsite or MS Teams
Role Overview
This role involves designing and executing manual and automated test cases, building test plans, analyzing requirements, conducting API and ADA compliance testing, and working closely within an Agile team.
This is a senior-level role—only candidates with 5 years of hands-on QA/testing experience will be considered.
Top Required Skills
- 5 years designing & executing manual and automated test cases
- 5 years analyzing requirements, user stories (Azure DevOps), and writing effective test cases
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar
- Strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment
Detailed Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases
- Create and maintain test plans, strategies, reports, and metrics
- Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Client, etc.
- Conduct ADA Compliance testing (AccVerify, JAWS)
- Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to build reusable test scenarios
- Identify, document, and track bugs using Azure DevOps
- Build test suites across DEV, UAT, QAT, and PRE-PROD environments
- Perform performance/load testing with JMeter or LoadRunner
- Write SQL queries for test data preparation and validation
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum ceremonies and communicate results clearly
- Ensure secure development lifecycle (SADLC) compliance
Technical Requirements
- Strong automation scripting skills using Java
- Experience writing Gherkin (BDD) and step definitions
- SQL proficiency (SELECT, JOINs) – Oracle or SQL Server
- Git version control (merge, pull request experience required)
