Job Title: System Analyst 6 – REDCap Application Support
Location: Lansing, MI - Local Candidates only
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
Contract: 1 year
We are looking for an experienced System Analyst 6 / REDCap Application Support professional with strong hands-on experience in PHP, MySQL, Python, RESTful APIs, and AWS. The ideal candidate will support and maintain an enterprise REDCap application hosted in AWS, including application administration, troubleshooting, integrations, upgrades, automation, and production support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and administer REDCap applications, including users, projects, reports, and surveys.
- Install, configure, and support REDCap External Modules using PHP in Linux/AWS environments.
- Develop and troubleshoot REDCap API and RESTful API integrations.
- Perform REDCap upgrades, patches, configuration, and maintenance.
- Develop Python, PHP, and SQL scripts for data loading, reporting, and validation.
- Manage and troubleshoot MySQL databases and perform queries and data validation.
- Support AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, VPC, security groups, backups, and monitoring.
- Work with Apache/Nginx web servers and Linux environments.
- Support OIDC, Active Directory/LDAP, SSO, and SSL/TLS integrations.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, integration, and user issues.
- Monitor application performance and support disaster recovery and system recovery activities.
- Coordinate with vendors, developers, infrastructure, security, database, and business teams.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration documentation.
- Participate in change management, release management, and production support.
- Manage Azure DevOps work items, priorities, dependencies, status, and completion dates.
- Provide technical support, documentation, training, and status reporting to stakeholders.
- Follow security, privacy, HIPAA, and audit logging requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of PHP Microservices development, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- 5 years of MySQL database management.
- 5 years of PHP configuration and troubleshooting.
- 5 years of Python scripting for data loading and querying.
- 5 years of designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs.
- 5 years of supporting enterprise web applications hosted on AWS.
Preferred / Desired Skills:
- REDCap administration and application support.
- REDCap API integration and External Modules implementation.
- Experience in healthcare, public health, higher education, or research environments.
- AWS EC2, S3, VPC, and security groups.
- Apache/Nginx and Linux.
- OIDC/SAML, Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO.
- SSL/TLS certificate management.
- HIPAA, security, and data privacy practices.
- Enterprise application/API integrations.
- ServiceNow or other enterprise ticketing systems.
- DevOps/Azure DevOps experience.
- SSIS/SQL Server Agent.
- Twilio/SMS survey gateway.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner, SysOps Administrator, or Solutions Architect certification.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Important: Candidates must be local to the Lansing, MI area and able to work onsite Wednesdays and Thursdays every week.
