Position: Network Engineer – Consultant
Location: Blythewood, SC (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Employment Type: W2
Interview Process: Two Rounds (Candidate should be prepared to attend one or both interviews onsite)
#Location Requirements
- Candidates must currently reside in SC, NC, or GA.
- Must be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC before the start date (at candidate's own expense).
- This is a fully onsite position with no remote work option.
Work Schedule
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Occasional after-hours and weekend support may be required for production outages.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- A state vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree OR four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
- 10 years of experience with:
- Cisco Firewalls
- Cisco Routers
- Cisco Switches
- Cisco VPN
- Cisco Network Administration
- 5 years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with network monitoring and tracing tools.
- Strong background in core network architecture.
- Advanced routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with wireless networking.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Preferred Certifications: CCNA and/or CCNP.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade enterprise network infrastructure.
- Administer and troubleshoot Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix technologies.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability.
- Troubleshoot complex network and voice-integrated infrastructure issues.
- Implement network security best practices and maintain compliance.
- Maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and provide technical guidance where needed.
- Support multiple priorities in a fast-paced Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
