Network Engineer

Position: Network Engineer – Consultant

Location: Blythewood, SC (100% Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Employment Type: W2

Interview Process: Two Rounds (Candidate should be prepared to attend one or both interviews onsite)

#Location Requirements

• Candidates must currently reside in SC, NC, or GA.
• Must be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC before the start date (at candidate's own expense).
• This is a fully onsite position with no remote work option.

Work Schedule

• 37.5 hours per week.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend support may be required for production outages.
• A valid Driver's License is required.
• A state vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
• 10 years of experience with:
• Cisco Firewalls
• Cisco Routers
• Cisco Switches
• Cisco VPN
• Cisco Network Administration
• 5 years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network monitoring and tracing tools.
• Strong background in core network architecture.
• Advanced routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with wireless networking.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Preferred Certifications: CCNA and/or CCNP.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade enterprise network infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix technologies.
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot complex network and voice-integrated infrastructure issues.
• Implement network security best practices and maintain compliance.
• Maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and provide technical guidance where needed.
• Support multiple priorities in a fast-paced Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
