We are looking for an experienced M365 SharePoint Online Engineer to plan, design, administer, modernize, and optimize SharePoint Online sites, workflows, configurations, and Microsoft 365 integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, administer, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, subsites, hubs, libraries, lists, and links.
- Manage SharePoint Online permissions, security groups, and advanced settings using Entra ID best practices.
- Perform site and content permission audits.
- Work with business teams and site owners to enhance SharePoint functionality.
- Manage site layouts, content, workflows, and automation.
- Provide SharePoint Online support and training to end users.
- Review and monitor SharePoint usage reports.
- Perform site cleanup, archival, provisioning, and decommissioning.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, configuration documentation, and architecture documentation.
- Integrate Microsoft 365 applications with SharePoint Online.
- Create architecture diagrams and technology navigation maps.
- Implement governance standards, taxonomy, metadata, and content management policies.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 platform roadmaps, enhancements, and deprecated features.
- Support project milestones and provide regular project updates.
- Manage site quotas and file size limits.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience with SharePoint Online / Office 365, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows, advanced permissions, and Entra ID.
- 5 years of experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- 5 years of experience with front-end design, UI, and UX.
- 5 years of experience implementing SharePoint roadmap enhancements and developing technical runbooks.
- 5 years of experience creating and maintaining workflows and Power Automate configurations.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint Online best practices and technical documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Data governance frameworks, data policies, and policy documentation.
- Strong understanding of business processes.
- PowerShell.
- Microsoft Power Platform.
- Microsoft 365 certifications.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education.
