Role Description:
The General Manager is the senior leader responsible for all operations within their assigned Venture X location. This role ensures exceptional hospitality, operational excellence, strong financial performance, and a thriving member community. The GM directly supervises the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and Community Coordinator (CC), where applicable, and plays a pivotal role in maintaining member satisfaction and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Member Experience & Community Engagement
- Ensure prompt, efficient, and professional communication with members, including weekly member updates.
- Oversee scheduling, setup, cleanliness, and readiness of meeting rooms and event spaces.
- Implement weekly, quarterly, and annual member event programming.
- Be an available and approachable resource for member questions and concerns.
- Conduct membership tours and support lead intake and tracking within the CRM.
- Manage virtual office services with support from onsite team.
- Assist Area Sales Managers when needed with private office tours and on-boarding.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain a clean, welcoming environment including common areas, café, restrooms, and member services zones.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels; ensure timely supply orders.
- Coordinate vendor relationships — janitorial, plants, furniture, and more.
- Serve as key point of contact for building management and onsite maintenance needs.
- Support facility needs related to access control, printers, café equipment (Canteen), IT providers, etc.
Member On-boarding
- Execute all new member on-boarding procedures:
- Orientations and move-in/move-out checklists
- Access setup (Key Fobs, Wi-Fi, billing)
- Portal and reservation calendar overview
- Printer setup and general technology support
Financial Administration
- Perform monthly bulk invoice runs and distribute invoices.
- Execute monthly payment processing.
- Maintain location budget and track expenditures.
- Monitor delinquencies and support internal collection procedures.
Sales Support & Membership Processes
- Assist with incoming leads, capturing accurate information in CRM.
- Provide sign-up support for Virtual, Community, and Dedicated Desk memberships.
- Ensure accurate tracking and fulfillment of self-registered memberships.
Hiring, Training & Team Leadership
- Recruit and hire onsite operations roles through approved platforms.
- Conduct performance reviews (90-day and annual) and manage any corrective action.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the onsite team to maintain high service standards.
Reporting & Communication
- Attend weekly staff meetings and provide timely operational updates.
- Submit monthly and event revenue reporting.
- Maintain smooth, proactive communication of member needs and location updates.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 1 years management experience; hospitality, property management, hotel, restaurant, or similar industries preferred
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong customer service mindset with consistent hospitality focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong IT proficiency and comfort with CRM systems
- Basic accounting knowledge related to billing and budgeting
- Ability to efficiently resolve conflicts and maintenance issues
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and calm under pressure
