A leading global trading house is looking to add a senior trader to its US franchise. The group has Traders/PMs working globally, so candidates could be based in any location they desire.
The firm employs a multi-strategy approach, so are agnostic in frequency and strategy focus, as long as the strategy has strong returns (20% ) and a sharpe ratio of 3 and an ability to scale. The current PM’s on the platform have come from a number of leading Hedge Funds and Prop Trading houses, so there is excellent DNA running through the company with a super collaborative environment allowing PM’s to maximize their returns through information sharing.
Their current focus is building out the MFT Futures coverage and are happy to bring on both fully & semi-systematic PMs with a time horizon from intraday up to a few weeks.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing and executing trading strategies in line with the firms objectives.
- Monitoring of trading activity and positions
- Research and post-trade analysis using the firm’s research tools on a host of trading strategies to improve the profitability of existing models
- Compiling end-of-day PnL and position reporting
- Communicating with exchanges, risk managers and internal technology groups regarding production issues
- Work closely with strategy developers in order to communicate and propose certain strategy-specific code changes related to execution, pricing, and risk management
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, business/finance, or related field
- 5 years work experience trading financial products
- Systematic element to their strategy (employing a model driven approach)
- Able to bring their own strategy (3 sharpe with demonstrable returns)
- 20% Return on capital
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and team player focused on contributing to the success of the trading desk
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
