Senior Quantitative Researcher – Delta One

Venture Search is partnering with a top-tier proprietary trading firm to hire Senior Quantitative Researchers for a growing Delta One systematic trading team.
Our client is one of the most respected names in quantitative trading, with a long-standing reputation for innovation across derivatives, systematic trading, and market making. Following significant growth and strong performance within their Delta One business, they are looking to strengthen the senior end of the team with experienced researchers capable of driving alpha generation across futures and related products.
This role is particularly well suited to researchers with backgrounds in HFT and intraday systematic trading who are looking to work on high-impact research problems within a well-resourced and highly collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Senior Quantitative Researcher, you will:
- Lead alpha research across liquid futures and related Delta One products
- Develop and deploy predictive signals spanning market microstructure, intraday, and medium-frequency opportunities
- Drive the full research lifecycle from idea generation and backtesting through to production deployment and monitoring
- Partner closely with traders, researchers, and engineers to convert research into live trading impact
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the overall quality and direction of the research effort
This is a hands-on research role with significant influence on trading outcomes and future strategy development.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in quantitative research, systematic trading, market making, or a related environment
- Strong track record of developing profitable signals, models, or systematic trading strategies
- Deep understanding of market microstructure and electronic trading
- Strong statistical research skills and advanced programming ability, ideally in Python and/or C
- Experience working with large-scale market datasets and production research environments
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
While Delta One, futures, and options experience would be highly attractive, the team is also interested in exceptional researchers from successful equity statistical arbitrage backgrounds.
