Position Summary:

Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the apartment communities and areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the communities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, etc.
• Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, equipment, fixtures, and other items on the Company’s properties.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
• Assist in clean-up of common areas
• Inspect property to identify potential and current needs
• Performs all other duties or work as needed or required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to walk, stand, climb, kneel, crawl, push, pull and twist the majority of the day.
• Frequently required to sit, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, balance, climb stairs and ladders.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.

Required & Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• HVAC Certification (Preferred)
• 2-3 years of maintenance technician experience (Preferred)
• 2-3 years of related general repair experience (Preferred)
• Basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills or the ability to quickly learn these skills with property training (Required)
