- Position Summary:
Venture Dynamics Enterprise is currently hiring 1st Class, Aluminum Certified, Structural Welders for ship repair projects. Candidates must be skilled in multiple welding processes and able to work in a fast-paced marine environment. DBIDS eligibility is required to access Navy and shipyard facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Aluminum Structural Welding on naval and commercial vessels using Stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and Flux Core (FCAW) welding processes.
- Weld on a variety of materials, including HY80 / HY100 high-strength steels.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
- Inspect welds to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Operate grinders, torches, and other tools safely to prep and finish weld areas.
- Work in confined spaces and at heights as required for ship repair tasks.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces and follow all safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aluminum Certified Structural Welder in ship repair or shipbuilding.
- Proficient in Stick, MIG, and Flux Core welding.
- Experience welding HY80/HY100 steel required.
- Must be DBIDS eligible (able to obtain or maintain Navy base access).
- Ability to pass required weld tests and physical screening.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
