Venture CPA & Tax Advisors was founded in 2021 and has been rapidly with each passing year. We are looking for a dynamic tax associate to be part of that continuing growth story.

This is an entrepreneurial position that involves more than just being a tax accountant, shaping firm policies, client contact, and client prospecting are additional opportunities beyond crunching the numbers this position can offer. What you’ll do

• Prepare and review individual, corporate tax returns, trust tax returns, sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Conduct thorough tax research to provide clients with accurate advice on tax planning strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for efficient bookkeeping and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in clients’ financial health.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger transactions while performing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to the development of financial reports that interpret complex data for clients, enhancing their understanding of their financial position.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting principles and practices.
• Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with public accounting or corporate tax accounting environments.
• At least some exposure to tax return preparations and has experienced at least 1 tax busy season.
• CPA license (certified public accountant) or have a plan towards completing the CPA licensure over the next 12-30 months.
• Familiarity with tax code and revenue regulations/IRS procedures
• Proficiency in financial analysis techniques and account reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of auditing procedures and technical accounting standards.
• Master's of taxation highly desired

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Base Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
