Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Runner / MASS State Inspector to join our automotive service team. This role involves facilitating the repair process by communicating effectively with clients, bringing vehicles in for inspections, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will be multilingual, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. This position plays a vital role in providing excellent service and ensuring vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, explaining repair and inspection procedures clearly and professionally.
- Bring vehicles into the shop for repair inspections, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections in accordance with MASS state regulations, identifying necessary repairs or services.
- Communicate inspection results and service recommendations to clients effectively, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Assist with gas station attendant duties as needed, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
- Support the services writing process by documenting vehicle conditions, repairs needed, and customer interactions accurately.
- Coordinate with technicians to facilitate timely vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Maintain a welcoming environment for clients speaking multiple languages, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Prior experience in automotive service or inspection roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills, especially in multiple languages, are highly desirable.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service experience is a plus, demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness to client needs.
- Knowledge of MASS state inspection requirements is advantageous but not required; training will be available for the right candidate.

Pay: $17.00 - $222.00 per hour
