Athletic Trainer (flexible – hours/seasonal, approximately 20 hours per week)
Performs a variety of activities involved in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries; provides information, in-service, and guidance to coaches and staff in various school sports; and works a flexible schedule, as needed depending on season. A valid Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) by the Board of Certification (BOC) of the National Athletic Trainers Association is required for this assignment.Definition
Under the direction of a site principal or designee, the Professional Expert is a non-credentialed training specialist who assists with planning and implementing curriculum, and makes presentations and/or demonstrations in highly technical or complex vocational or academic disciplines. The Professional Expert brings specialized skills, background and training, technical or vocational skills and knowledge, or professional expertise to the educational experience of students.
A Professional Expert assignment is an exempt, classified assignment. Positions are established for employment on a temporary basis for a specific project subject to the provisions of California Education Code 45256(b)(5), and are exempt from the classified service.Minimum Qualifications
