What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor position at Ventura Surf and Swim?
Overview
We are seeking a passionate Swim Instructor to join our team. If you have a love for swimming and enjoy working with students of all ages, this role is perfect for you.
Duties
- Instruct students on proper swimming techniques and water safety
- Develop lesson plans and provide engaging swim lessons
- Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual students' needs
Skills
- Lifeguard certification preferred
- Experience in sports coaching or physical education is a plus
- Ability to educate and engage students effectively
- Previous experience working with children or in childcare
- Proficiency in swimming strokes and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to climb in and out of the pool as needed
- Knowledge of other activities like cheerleading, karate, or similar disciplines is beneficial
Available to work on Wednesday from 2 PM -6 PM, Friday 10AM -2 PM

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per year
