Job Description
The purpose of the Infusion Scheduler is to schedule patients for the Infusion room resource. This includes scheduling appointments, schedule maintenance, and rescheduling missed or cancelled appointments.

Job Description
The purpose of the Infusion Scheduler is to schedule patients for the Infusion room resource. This includes scheduling appointments, schedule maintenance, and rescheduling missed or cancelled appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Schedule appointments for patients to receive infusions, injections, and other treatments.
- Confirm patient appointments.
- Maintain office schedules for the infusion room including follow-up on missed appointments, cancellations, and reschedules as pertinent.
- Answer telephone calls and direct calls to appropriate staff.
- Receive and route messages and documents as needed.
- Operate office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications as needed to do work assigned.
- Perform various clerical and administrative functions as needed.
- Efficiently and cordially coordinate with outside facilities and internal departments as needed.
- Transmit information or documents as needed, using computer, mail, or facsimile machines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Multi-task and have commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Manage difficult or emotional situations; respond to requests for service and assistance.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time.
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment; make timely decisions.
- Must approach others in a tactful manner; react well under pressure.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; must look for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least (1) year experience in a medical office environment required
- Great Customer Service Skills.
- Previous experience with OncoEMR preferred.
- Previous Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.
- Ability to travel between office locations as needed.
Salary : $25 - $30
