Hourly Rate: $19.00 hour
Shift: Days M- F
Job Summary
Responsible for assisting Project Managers in planning, executing and monitoring projects related to operations, process improvements, and safety initiatives. The PM Intern will work closely with the Project Managers and Sr. Maintenance Director hands-on building skills while contributing to meaningful projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support project managers in planning, tracking, and reporting on project milestones.
- Assist in coordinating cross-departmental meetings and maintaining project documentation.
- Monitor timelines, identify risks, and help ensure deadlines are met.
- Help implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce unnecessary downtime or delays.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare reports to support project decision-making.
- Participate in plant floor observations to better understand production workflows.
- Follow all safety rules and practices to include the wearing of all essential personal protective equipment.
- Follow all food safety and personal hygiene practices.
- Provide administrative support for project-related activities as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Degree in or working toward a degree in: Project Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Requirements for Undergraduate Students: Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 60 credit hours in good academic standing.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Physical Requirements
The working environment fluctuates between office and manufacturing. The EHS intern will be working on a computer for up to 50% of each workday. The remaining portion of the time will be spent walking around the facility, talking with employees, reviewing equipment set-ups and auditing to assist the EHS Department. The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure is a must. Frequent transition between sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional climbing, kneeling, lifting, twisting and bending. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
