Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of vacuum trucks, support vehicles, and small engine equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently and take ownership of keeping equipment in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair vacuum trucks and support vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical issues
  • Work on gas engines and small engine equipment
  • Perform fabrication and welding as needed
  • Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and job-ready

Qualifications:

  • Experience working on heavy equipment and diesel engines
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Ability to weld and fabricate
  • Experience with gas engines and small engines
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage workload effectively
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs consistently
  • Must have your own tools (specialty tools provided)

Work Environment:

  • Self-lead and organized completion of mechanic work orders and issues as the solo mechanic for our company
  • Workload varies from busy to more relaxed depending on operations
  • Independent, self-directed work is expected

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Experience working on vacuum trucks (we are willing to train the right candidate)
