THE OPPORTUNITY
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze development and acquisition opportunities in multifamily, build-for-rent, 55 active adult living, affordable LIHTC, and other real estate asset classes by conducting the following (but not limited to):
- Performing financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and equity valuation
- Conducting market research, site inspections, and due diligence gathering to support underwriting assumptions
- Completing ad hoc analyses to support pursuit of development and acquisition opportunities
- Compiling research from vendors and via public information, distilling to usable and readily interpretable format for investment decisions
- Prepare investment packages for internal committee as well as lenders
- Provide necessary support and direction during all phases of asset lifecycle, from development/acquisition to asset management, to potential disposition
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field required
- 2 years of underwriting experience with multifamily focus preferred but not necessary
- Other relevant experiences include private equity, investment banking, and equity research, not necessarily with real estate focus
- Proficient in Excel
- Knowledgeable across Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional team environment
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills, with proven technical skills in underwriting, structuring, and closing complex deals
- Ability to work independently, with strong project management skills as well as excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple assignments
