We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to oversee complex payroll functions and ensure accuracy across multi-state, union, and prevailing wage environments.
Position Overview:
The Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting payroll-related analysis for field and corporate teams. This role requires deep knowledge of construction payroll, union contracts, certified payroll reporting, and multi-state labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly or biweekly payroll for field and office employees, including union, non-union, multi-state, and jobsite-specific pay rules.
- Prepare and review certified payroll reports, prevailing wage documentation, and labor compliance submissions.
- Analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate job costing and labor allocations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and employee tax information.
- Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements, prevailing wage laws, and construction labor regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, HR, and accounting teams to resolve payroll issues and provide support.
- Assist with month-end and year-end payroll close, including tax filings, W-2 processing, and reconciliations.
- Generate payroll-related metrics and reports to support audits, compliance, and operational decision-making.
- Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and reporting requirements.
- Lead or support payroll-related process improvements and system implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a construction or union environment required.
- Strong experience with certified payroll, Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage, and union payroll processing.
- Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, or other construction payroll software).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis functions.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with field teams and leadership.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
