A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier in Tecumseh, Michigan is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator to support and continuously improve all aspects of the plant's environmental, health, and safety programs. This is a highly visible role that partners with plant leadership to promote a safe, compliant, and proactive manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001, and corporate EHS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs for the facility.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, ISO 14001 standards, corporate policies, and applicable environmental and safety legislation.
• Lead implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
• Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
• Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Manage Workers' Compensation administration, documentation, and case coordination.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver employee safety training programs and onboarding.
• Maintain and update EHS policies, procedures, work instructions, and ISO 14001 documentation.
• Coordinate annual environmental and safety objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics, incident trends, and key performance indicators.
• Support Joint Health & Safety Committee activities and serve as a technical resource for plant leadership.
• Coordinate environmental management system documentation and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Communicate safety alerts, incident bulletins, and best practices throughout the facility.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting 5S initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (automotive manufacturing preferred).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISO 14001, environmental compliance, and workplace safety programs.
• Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Experience managing Workers' Compensation claims and injury reporting.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging safety training programs.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence employees at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Experience

• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting ISO 14001 certification and environmental management systems.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and 5S principles.
• Experience tracking EHS KPIs and regulatory reporting.
