Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

We have immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a second and third shift

While reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for performing tasks necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Ventek products. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and be an effective problem solver. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Day To Day Responsibilities Include

• Performing all duties in support of Ventek?s quality and safety policies.
• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production
• Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PM?s, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
  
  

This position is located in Shelbyville, KY.

• We want you to have experience in an industrial environment, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and/or installing manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment.
  
  

Requirements

• Cat 2 Electrical
• 3 years experience with PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley 5000 series, Siemens, and Omron. Minimum (3) years industrial maintenance experience required.
• 2 years experience with Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
• Must be able to read and or understand written and verbal policy, instruction and directions in English.
• Must have 480 volt and 3 phase electric.
• We need you to have experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls.
• Must be certified on MHE including scissor lift.
• Ability to work at heights including scissor lift, ladders.
• Must be able to kneel, bend and twist while working.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• It would be a huge plus if you have machine shop/fabrication experience
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
