Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Barback to support our high-volume restaurant. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders and staff by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring a smooth operation during busy night hours. This role is essential for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, organized environment in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Prior experience in food service, catering, or the food industry is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Duties
- Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies efficiently.
- Make syrups, batches, and juices.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, including cleaning glassware, utensils, and surfaces.
- Buss and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to ensure a tidy environment.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for cash handling and order processing.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest needs courteously and professionally.
- Support the team during busy night hours to ensure efficient service flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, hospitality, or related fields such as hotel or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with food preparation, food handling, bussing, serving, or catering is beneficial.
- Spanish-speaking is a PLUS
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.
- Must be able to work nights in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform cleaning duties efficiently.
