This role is responsible for designing, integrating, and deploying autonomy software systems that enable real-world autonomous vehicle operation.
You will lead the autonomy software stack and ensure systems transition from simulation to operational deployment, working closely with hardware, integration, and systems engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the autonomy software architecture
- Develop robotics software using ROS 2 and modern frameworks
- Integrate multi-sensor systems:
- Radar, LiDAR, cameras
- IMUs, GPS
- Communications and mission systems
- Build autonomy capabilities:
- Navigation
- Localization
- Perception
- Mission execution
- Design sensor fusion solutions for degraded or contested environments
- Ensure systems operate safely under sensor/communication failures
- Develop operator interfaces and mission management tools
- Deploy embedded and real-time software on vehicle platforms
- Establish:
- Testing frameworks
- Validation processes
- Simulation pipelines
- CI/CD workflows
- Support field testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities
- Mentor engineers and define technical standards
- Bachelor's in CS, Robotics, Software, Electrical Engineering, or related
- 5 years in robotics/autonomy software
- Proven experience deploying autonomous systems in real-world environments
- Strong programming skills:
- C and/or Python
- Deep experience with:
- ROS 2
- Autonomy frameworks (Nav2, SLAM, Behavior Trees)
- Experience with:
- Sensor fusion
- Localization & navigation
- Multi-sensor integration
- Experience with embedded or real-time systems
- Background in validation, testing, and automation pipelines
