Role And Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle— from inquiry to order completion.
- Develop quotes and sales proposals for a range of quotes from simple parts quotes to large complex quotes, ensuring accurate pricing and delivery timelines.
- Prospecting for new business opportunities and managing that full cycle process.
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key customers and vendors.
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for high-priority customers and projects.
- Support Outside Sales Representatives by providing detailed order status updates, technical documentation, and pricing verification.
- Lead efforts to improve customer retention, satisfaction, and order accuracy.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Inside Sales and Purchasing team members.
- Assist in developing and refining sales processes, ERP procedures, and documentation standards.
- Act as a liaison between Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Lead or participate in periodic training sessions for new hires and process updates.
- Communicate with vendors to secure favorable pricing, delivery, and product information.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize purchasing lead times and reduce costs.
- Oversee the accuracy of inventory data and resolve discrepancies in coordination with the Operations team.
- Enter, manage, and validate sales orders, quotes, and purchase orders in the ERP system (Epicor P21 or equivalent).
- Maintain real-time accuracy of order and delivery data in the system.
- Prepare sales reports and performance metrics for management review.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and related business systems.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Industrial Distribution, or related field preferred (not required).
