Position Summary: The Product Manager for the Cloud Business Office (CBO) plays a pivotal role in guiding the organization s cloud transformation initiatives. This position is responsible for developing the cloud platform into a self-service, reusable product suite that supports internal application teams. The primary objective is to facilitate seamless cloud adoption by aligning platform strategy with organizational goals, ensuring ease of use, and driving a product-centric approach within IT services. The Product Manager acts as the liaison between the needs of application teams and the technical capabilities provided by the Cloud Platform Engineering team. Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision: Engage with internal application and business teams to gain comprehensive insight into their requirements, challenges, and objectives. Formulate and communicate a coherent product vision and strategy for the cloud platform to enhance business outcomes.
Roadmap and Backlog Management: Convert customer requirements and business priorities into a strategically prioritized product roadmap and backlog for the Cloud Platform Engineering team. Oversee delivery from this backlog, focusing on measurable value creation.
Stakeholder Alignment and Communication: Serve as the main contact for CCoE products, facilitating engagement with stakeholders across business, finance, security, and technology divisions to build consensus and effectively communicate the benefits of the cloud platform.
Financial Management (FinOps): Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to advance the FinOps practice. Implement cost forecasting, allocation, and optimization mechanisms, and enable self-service tools for effective spend management.
Organizational Change Management and Training: Lead change management efforts to support successful cloud adoption. Design and deliver training programs to ensure teams are proficient in leveraging the cloud platform securely and efficiently.
Governance and Best Practices: Work with security and architecture teams to establish governance policies, best practices, and reusable patterns. Promote governance as an enabler by integrating it seamlessly into platform products. Qualifications and Skills:
Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager, particularly in internal platforms, infrastructure, or technical products.
In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) and their business value.
Proficiency in agile methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and roadmap development.
Extensive understanding of the Cloud FinOps framework, with practical expertise in cloud cost management and optimization.
Proven ability to drive organizational change and foster the adoption of new technologies and processes.
Strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
A customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate user needs into successful product offerings.
