Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our vibrant restaurant team. We are only open for dinner time. In this pivotal leadership role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service. Sommelier qualification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring smooth shift transitions.
- Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives to uphold service excellence and food safety standards.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including stock ordering, waste reduction, and maintaining accurate food and beverage inventories.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to facilitate accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales reporting.
- Support the implementation of customer service to deliver memorable dining experiences.
- Assist in analyzing budgeting efforts, and operational metrics to maximize profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly with professionalism to ensure guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven management experience within full table service restaurants or fine dining experience.
- Strong background in supervising teams with excellent leadership skills in hospitality environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such Clover POS for sales transactions and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage managerial responsibilities confidently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and operational calculations; previous assistant manager experience preferred.
