Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Assist servers by delivering food from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area
- Manage guest waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates
- Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Support the front-of-house team with guest services to ensure a positive dining experience
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when needed
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Previous host/host experience preferred, with a strong background in customer service
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong guest relations skills, with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and courteous demeanor at all times
- Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous but not required
